Are You Doing or Being?

Your life should be fuelled by your being and THEN the being fuels the doing.

We are human beings, not human doings. Yet we always seem to be doing something.

We never seem to just be.

We humans don’t seem comfortable with just being. Why is that?

When you sit in stillness there’s a point in time where everything fades. When your body and mind completely let go and you feel weightless.

In that space is when time disappears, there is no past, it doesn’t exist. There is no future, it doesn’t exist.

All there is is just being, all there is is a beautiful gift that’s why it’s called the present.

The common denominator in all humans, their experience of life and what we do is our thoughts, emotions and our feelings.

We often find ourselves confronting these when we are quiet and just being.

Our stories, they can either scare us or they can lift us up.

Our stories are memories.

A memory is pulled through time to the present moment via the gift of thought.

But know this, there is no story out there that anybody has ever heard that somebody else hasn’t experienced.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a mother in the UK or a mother in India, if you experience physical pain it is the same experience for both of you, just the intensity is different. That’s all. Just the intensity.

The intensity is driven by our thoughts. The thought drives the feeling.

WHAT IS YOUR STORY?

So it doesn’t matter what your story is, the more vulnerable and willing you are to share your story the more powerful you become.

Others will not think less of you because of you sharing. They will think more of you for having the courage to stand up and share that story.

Because then you’re giving someone else hope.

You’re giving someone else the message that they are not alone in their journey.

You’re giving someone else a metaphorical hand to hold.

That is truly an amazing gift to give.
